ARLINGTON, Va. (NBC) — Arlington National Cemetery has been evacuated Wednesday morning because of a bomb threat.
Officials with the cemetery and Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall are responding.
Visitors and employees left the property while the threat was investigated, cemetery officials said. In an update, Arlington officials said the cemetery would be closed to the public for the rest of Wednesday.
All funerals are set to occur as scheduled.
Information on how the threat was made was not available immediately.
