BALTIMORE, Md. (DC News Now) — The Key Bridge Response Unified Command said Monday that crews recovered the body of a fourth missing construction worker who died when the bridge collapsed in March.

Unified Command salvage teams found one of the missing construction vehicles and notified Maryland State Police (MSP). Troopers, the FBI and Maryland Transportation Authority Police responded and found the worker’s body inside the car.

Officials said that the body was identified on Monday. In accordance with the wishes of the family of the worker, officials did not release his name.

The Key Bridge collapsed on March 26 after a cargo ship struck one of its supports. Eight construction workers who were on the bridge at that time fell into the Patapsco River.

Two workers were rescued, and crews recovered two bodies a day after the collapse. Dive teams recovered a third body on April 5.
