COON RAPIDS, MN (WCMH) – A tribute in memory of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 became an awe-inspiring moment when an eagle took a rest on top of a ladder truck.
The Andover Fire Department truck was parked on a bridge on Highway 10 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, KARE reported. It was holding an American flag in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11.
“Isn’t that unbelievable?” said Andover Fire Chief Jerry Streich as the bird rested on top of the truck. “There’s no better symbol to represent America today than a flag but then for an eagle to land on a fire truck holding a flag, I mean, it doesn’t get much more symbolic than that.”
