(WAVY) — Kia is recalling over 100,000 of its SUV and Minivans due to potential safety hazard with the vehicles’ roofs flying off.
The recall is a result of the roof molding potentially coming loose while driving, which can create safety hazards. The recall includes 2022-2024 Carnival minivans and 2023-24 Sportage SUVs.
If the roof comes loose while driving, it can create a hazard for those on the road and cause a crash. Notification letters are expected to be sent to owners by March 15. Kia’s dealers will inspect and replace the molding of the vehicles, if necessary, for free.
