(WPHL) — Olympic Swimmer, Michael Phelps and his wife, Nicole Johnson Phelps, have announced the birth of their fourth child.

In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared a sweet message alongside a photo of their baby boy, Nico Michael Phelps, who was born on Jan. 16.

“We’re so blessed to be given a 4th child,” the couple wrote. “We’re now a family of 6!”

Back in October, Nicole announced she was pregnant in an Instagram post celebrating her and Michael’s seventh anniversary, but she didn’t reveal how far along she was.

“For those that are wondering… yes! we’re expecting our 4th Phelps in 2024,” she wrote.

Michael and Nicole have three other sons, all under the age of 10: Boomer Phelps, 7, Beckett Richard Phelps, 5, and Maverick Phelps, 4.

When it comes to having a house full of boys, the couple seems quite happy. Michael told People in a 2019 interview that Nicole is “the queen of the household,” and she enjoys it.

Nicole also told TODAY.com in an exclusive November 2023 interview that she “would have loved to have a daughter for Michael” so he could experience a father-daughter bond.

“But I strongly believe you’re given what you’re supposed to have, and I’m really excited to have another boy,” she added.

Michael and Nicole have been married since 2016.
