MYANMAR (APTN) — The announcement of Miss Grand International was a little more dramatic than usual Thursday night.
As is usually the case in beauty pageants, the announcer wanted to increase the tension and suspense, but it was a little too much for the winner, Miss Paraguay Clara Sosa.
Sosa was holding hands with the runner-up, Miss India, who prevented Sosa from dropping to the floor and hurting herself.
People quickly took Sosa backstage to recover and a little later she returned to be crowned.
In an interview before the winner was announced, Sosa said she might need a doctor because she felt like she was having a heart attack.
