NEW ORLEANS (WDSU) — Kids undergoing treatment at Children’s Hospital traded their typical hospital routine for a glamorous fashion show.
Over a dozen kids strutted down the runway in full hair, makeup, and dress for the annual event.
Miss Louisiana, Holli Conway, joined them as they twirled, danced and showed off their sparkle.
There was even a question and answer portion where the children discussed their future careers.
The fashion show was a great way for the kids to let lose while encouraging them to dream big.
“My stomach hurts and it stops hurting and it hurts again later on,” said Brenna Roberts, a cancer patient.
“I was like this is crazy. I’m so excited.”
