TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Three-time Super Bowl champion Timothy Bernard McKyer was arrested Sunday in Florida, according to multiple reports, after police said he crashed into five parked cars in a Riviera Beach parking garage.
The former NFL cornerback allegedly crashed into the vehicles in the garage and then drove away, according to the Riviera Beach Police Department.
Police are working to identify the owners of the vehicles that were hit.
McKyer was charged with five counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage exceeding $50 in addition to a criminal citation for leaving the scene and a traffic infraction for failure to report, according to police.
McKyer played in the NFL from 1986 to 1997 for seven different teams, including the Miami Dolphins. He also played for the San Francisco 49ers, where he won two Super Bowls, and the Denver Broncos, where he won a third Super Bowl.
