(WXIN) – It happened — the Super Bowl went into overtime.

And that means free wings from Buffalo Wild Wings for everyone.

Last month, the chain pledged free boneless or traditional wings if Super Bowl LVIII went into overtime. And it just so happens that Sunday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs required some extra football.

Chicken fans can get six free boneless or traditional wings on Monday, Feb. 26, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time at participating locations. The offer is available for dine-in and in-person takeout only.

No purchase is necessary to redeem the offer, which is not available for delivery or call-in orders. There is a limit of one free order per customer.

As for the big game, the Chiefs emerged victorious by the final score of 25 to 22 thanks to a last-second touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Mecole Hardman in the extra frame. It marked back-to-back championships for Kansas City and their third in five years.

Buffalo Wild Wings has offered the overtime challenge since 2019, but this year’s game marked the first time the Super Bowl actually went into OT since the promotion began.
