KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — The Kansas City Chiefs had a rough beginning to Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Chiefs were on the way to taking a lead over the Niners in the red zone until a fumble from running back Isiah Pacheco led to the Niners recovering the ball and stopping the Chiefs’ momentum.
The play before that, quarterback Patrick Mahomes found wide receiver Mecole Hardman for a 52-yard pass.
Cameras found tight end Travis Kelce wide open during the play with his hands up which turned into adulation once Hardman caught the pass. Cameras also saw Kelce furious on the sideline after the fumble and he even yelled at and bumped head coach Andy Reid for taking him out of the game.
Kelce was not in the game when the fumble happened.
The star tight end only has one catch through the first half as the Chiefs have yet to score a point in the Super Bowl.
Mike Jones, an NFL reporter for The Athletic, tweeted that Kelce hugged Reid afterwards.
