NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Norfolk SPCA is asking for the public’s help during its reorganization phase.

According to the Norfolk SPCA, around 100 shelter animals are in immediate need of spaying and neutering services. This will help ensure the animals are healthy and ready for adoption.

The average spay and neuter costs are $165 per dog and $85 per cat.

The SPCA has set a goal to raise $16,500 to put towards this veterinary care for the shelter animals.
