PERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WNCN) — The Person County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday afternoon that deputies found a vehicle with a body believed to be a missing woman from Chatham County.
According to the sheriff, the clothing and vehicle description match that of 83-year-old Alice Parsons, of Pittsboro, who has been missing since October 17. The body has not been positively identified as Parsons, but these factors lead investigators to believe it is her.
The vehicle was located in the 8400 block of Burlington Road in the Bushy Forks community of Hurdle Mills.
It appeared the vehicle drove and crashed into a wooded area off the main road, officials said.
