PASQUOTANK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A man is hurt after a shooting in Pasquotank County on Thursday, deputies said.

Around 7:25 p.m., deputies with the Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office responded to 928 Shillingtown Road in reference to a report of gunshots.

Deputies arrived on scene to find 42-year-old Yendor Notlehs Howard Shelton II with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs. He was transported to Sentara Albemarle Hospital and later transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Shelton is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

This is an active investigation, the Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with additional information to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 252-338-2191.
