NORTH CAROLINA, (WAVY) — Dominion Energy North Carolina is proposing two rate changes for its customers.
The first change would come in the form of a $19 increase in monthly bills. Dominion Energy said the increase would support investments in grid reliability, clean energy and an improved customer experience.
Later this year, the company expects a substantial decrease in its fuel rate that it says will offset the base rate increase.
According to Dominion Energy, both changes would result in about a $4 decrease in monthly bills for North Carolina residents.
These proposed changes require approval by the North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC).
