OCRACOKE, N.C. (WAVY) — As High tide came into the area of Ocracoke in North Carolina on Saturday, drivers are advised to use caution on the NC12.
NC12 is open and passable, according to NCDOT. However, there is some minor ocean over wash on the north end of Ocracoke. Drivers are advised to slow down and use extreme caution as there is still water and sand on the roadway.
Crews are clearing and expected to come back at 6:40 a.m. for morning high tide.
