ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — A Powerball ticket sold at an Elizabeth City convenience store is worth $1 million.
The winner purchased the $2 ticket at the Zoom In on South Hughes Boulevard. The numbers on the ticket matched all five white balls to win $1 million. The odds of matching numbers on all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million.
Powerball winners are given 180 days to claim their prize.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is worth a whopping $1.09 billion or $527.3 million in cash. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
