ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — On Tuesday, Jan. 30, Trillium is scheduled to a host a re-entry simulation at the K.E. White Graduate Center at Elizabeth City State University.
The event is meant to provide a hands-on experience of the barriers for individuals released from incarceration, including those with severe substance use, mental illness and intellectual /developmental disabilities.
Attendees experience situations trying to access services and resources with the assistance of role-playing and volunteers.
The event is free and open to the public.
