CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — Masks will be optional at Currituck County Schools for the upcoming school year.

The school board voted Wednesday to make masking optional, after the CDC recommended this week that all students and staff, vaccinated or not, should wear masks indoors in schools.

Masks however will be required on buses, due to federal requirements for public transportation.
