EDENTON, N.C. (WAVY) — Police have arrested a man accused of stealing Valentine’s Day gifts at a CVS in Edenton just days before the holiday.
According to Edenton Police, officers responded to the CVS in the 800 block of North Broad Street around 9:45 a.m. Sunday regarding the larceny.
A preliminary investigation of the incident revealed that a man took several Valentine’s Day gifts from the store.
On Monday, Edenton Police say they received a call which led to the arrest of 36-year-old Sajaye Skipwith from Durham.
Further investigation revealed that Skipwith committed a separate larceny at a CVS a day prior to the incident.
Skipwith was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny and placed under a $2,500 secured bond.
