NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) conducted an investigation into a sailor’s death at Naval Station Norfolk Monday afternoon and determined it was a suicide.
The Navy will not be releasing the sailor’s name.
On Monday U.S. Navy officials said the sailor worked as a maintainer for a helicopter squadron based at Naval Station Norfolk and was on a helicopter flight line when the deadly incident occurred.
