CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Thousands of customers with Dominion Energy lost power in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake Monday.
Dominion spokesperson Bonita Harris said in a tweet the outage impacted Deek Creek Middle and High schools.
It’s unclear what may have caused the outage. Dominion’s website showed the outage covered an area between the edges of the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge and S. Military Highway (U.S. 460).
At one point, the was impacting a little more than 4,400 customers. Power has since been restored.
