WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — A corrections officer at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail is accused of delivering drugs to prisoners at the jail.
According to James City County police, Robert D. Tucker, 29, of New Kent, was arrested on June 18 and charged with delivery of drugs to prisoners (a felony) and delivery of articles to prisoners (a misdemeanor).
Police say this is an ongoing investigation and no other information is available at this time. It’s unclear whether Tucker is still an employee at the jail.
He’s scheduled to appear in district court on Sept. 18.
