CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a Thursday night house fire in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake. 

Fire officials say they were called to the 1400 block of Deep Creek Boulevard at 7:24 p.m. Crews arrived four minutes later and found heavy smoke coming from the front of the home. 

Firefighters entered the structure and had the fire marked under control at 7:42 p.m. One person was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two adults and one child were displaced and will be staying with family until their home is repaired. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
