HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — For the first time time in 5 years, the jam band Phish is back at the Hampton Coliseum for a trio of shows beginning Friday night.

It’ll be the 19th show at the “Mothership,” as the Phish faithful call the venue.

It’s also almost been 20 years since Phish recorded “Hampton Comes Alive” in the Coliseum in Nov. 1998, which was released as a box set in 1999.

Parking lots opened at 2 p.m. Friday, and many fans had already started to roll in as of 4 p.m.

All three shows are set to start at 7:30 p.m. each night. Saturday’s show is sold out, but tickets are still available for Friday and Sunday for $75.

Expect a good amount of traffic in that area this weekend.
