NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police arrested two men accused of breaking into a home in Newport News.

Police said the alleged incident happened on 22nd Street near Crcutt Avenue around 10 a.m. on July 24. Two men allegedly kicked down a back door and stole from the home.

Officers later arrested 33-year-old Ulysses Moss and 30-year-old Emmanuel Lassiter, and charged them both with four counts each of grand larceny and two counts of burlgary.

Lassiter is also faced with felony failure to appear, possession of burglarious tools and failure to provide adequate care for companion animals.

Police said no one was home at the time of the alleged incident.
