UPDATE Dec. 3, 2019: All charges against Domonique Mills were dropped during his trial Dec. 2 in Newport News Circuit Court.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A 23-year-old man is facing charges for a shooting after police say a citizen’s tip led to his arrest.
Newport News police say Domonique Marcell Mills is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in a felony and possession of a firearm by a non-violent convicted felon. Mills was arrested on Sunday after police followed-up on a tip they had received.
The shooting, which happened late last week on Aqua Vista Drive, left a 25-year-old man suffering from several gunshot wounds. Police said his injuries were considered life-threatening.
Police say Mills has an “extensive” criminal history.
