CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Both drivers involved in a head-on crash in Chesapeake early Wednesday morning had to go to the hospital.
According to police, officers were called to the 2800 block of South Battlefield Blvd. around 5:30 a.m. for a two-vehicle accident.
Investigators determined one of the vehicles involved was trying to pass a vehicle in the southbound lane, when it crashed head-on into a vehicle traveling northbound.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit had to be extracted. Police said, though, that both drivers are expected to recover from their injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
