NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A man is facing multiple charges after police say he was accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in Newport News.
Newport News police said officers were dispatched to Riverside Regional Medical Center on March 28 for an alleged past sexual offense involving an 8-year-old girl.
The victim’s mother told officers her daughter was inappropriately touched by a man the family knows. This allegedly happened between March 9 and March 28 at a Newport News home, police said.
Police charged 23-year-old Paul Samuel Armstrong IV with three counts each of sodomy, incident liberties with a child and aggravated sexual battery.
