INDIANAPOLIS — The Vice President, and presumptive 2024 Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris will speak in Indianapolis on Wednesday as part of the Social Justice Town Hall hosted by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. at the Indiana Convention Center.
Harris’ remarks are expected to begin at 12:45 p.m. EST and will be live streamed in this story.
“As the President and CEO of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., I am honored and grateful to God for the opportunity to welcome Vice President Kamala Harris to join in conversation with us and discuss the impact and legacy of the Biden Harris administration,” said Dr. Stacie NC Grant.
The sorority is part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, which Harris is also a member of as an Alpha Kappa Alpha. The NPHC, called the Divine 9, is a group of nine Black Greek-letter organizations, or fraternities and sororities.
“This moment is not only meaningful for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., but for all Divine 9 organizations. This moment puts a focal point on our collective influence of our communities and the many distinguished members across our respective organizations who have united together to distill information this election season and get the nation to “stroll to the polls” with us,” said Grant.
The scheduled stop in Indianapolis is one of the first since announcing her run for President of the United States, and the withdrawal of President Joe Biden.
