Recall issued on HALO Tumblers sold at Wawa due to laceration hazard

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of HALO Tumblers due to a laceration hazard.

According to a release, the recall involves a reusable tumbler with a metal straw sold exclusively at Wawa which come in four styles — “The Mermaid,” which is pink and green, “Island Surf,” which is blue and yellow, “Sailor Breeze,” which is tan and orange and “The Galaxy,” which is blue and pink. All of the tumblers have a tan lid and come in a 24-ounce size.

As of Oct. 31, there have been four reports of laceration injuries to the hand and mouth tied to the tumblers.

The tumblers were sold during the month of August in Wawa stores in Alabama, Washington D.C., Delaware, Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland for around $13.
