PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall on rhinestone silver tiaras due to the level of lead.

According to the CPSC, the Yaomiao Children’s Rhinestone Silver Tiaras, sold exclusively on Amazon, contains a level of lead that exceeds the federal lead content ban. The tiaras are sold in a package with three other tiaras, including blue, purple and clear, that do are not included in the recall.

According to the World Health Organization, lead is particularly harmful to young children and women of child-bearing-age, and may cause adverse health effects.

Consumers with this product are urged to take the product away from children, stop using them and contact LordRoadS for a refund. No injuries have been reported to date.
