UPDATE: Tyquan Winslow was sentenced to 15 years with 3 years suspended on Friday, July 17, 2020. He also received 15 years of unsupervised probation.

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police have arrested and charged Tyquan Winslow, 20, with murder for the homicide that occurred Sunday morning.

Norfolk police said via Twitter it happened around 12:50 a.m. in the 8500 block of Wayland Street. 

Officers found Christopher DeShawn Martin, 23, shot outside. He later died from his injuries.

This is the 27th homicide this year for Norfolk. Arrests have been made in 21 of those cases.
