Suspect charged in C Avenue homicide in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk man is facing charges for a shooting that left one person dead last month.

Norfolk police say 52-year-old William James White, Jr. was found shot outside a home on C Avenue on March 21. White was pronounced dead at the scene.


Police spokesman Daniel Hudson says 38-year-old Akeis Rolax was arrested March 31. He is being charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in a felony.

He is being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
