SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police have arrested a suspect after a double shooting Feb. 26 at the Happy Shopper store on E. Washington St. that left one man dead and another injured.
Marquay Antonio White, 24, of Suffolk, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder, police say.
25-year-old Leondrae Shaqil Johnson was killed in the shooting, police say. The second victim, 23-year-old Antonio Lamon Jefferson, remains hospitalized. The shooting happened around 4 p.m. on Feb. 26.
White is being held without bond Western Tidewater Regional Jail. Police say additional charges additional White are pending.
