CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A vehicle hit the South Norfolk Memorial Library in Chesapeake early Friday morning, causing extensive damage. So much so, the library will remain closed through at least all of next week.
Dispatchers got the call about the incident around 4:30 a.m.
According to Chesapeake Police spokesman Leo Kosinski, an SUV crashed through the glass part of the library and came to a stop inside the building. There were no injuries reported.
