BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says 13 guns and several illegal drugs were seized during a search warrant at two locations on May 4.

Deputies say the James River Regional Drug Task served the warrants at two illegal drug “pop-up” locations in Bedford County. A drug pop-up is a temporary table or booth set up to sell illegal drugs, guns, and other illicit items.

One warrant was served at a pop-up shop in the 2800 block of Chestnut Fork Road. During the search, deputies seized the following:

The second warrant was served at another pop-up location in the 1200 block of Rock Cliff Road.

The Sheriff’s Office says several edible and vapes containing THC were also discovered at both locations.

Charges are pending against several people in consultation with the Bedford County Commonwealth’s Attorney.

“This is a great example of the community and Law enforcement working together to keep our county safe. I would like to thank the James River Regional Drug Task Force for helping in this case,” said Sheriff Mike Miller.
