VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Officials in Virginia Beach are hosting a community meeting on April 8 to discuss the upcoming Something in the Water festival and College Beach Weekend at the Oceanfront.
The festival is being held from April 26 through April 28 and coincides with College Beach Weekend.
The meeting will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the City is encouraging residents and employees who live and work in the resort area to attend.
It will be live streamed on VBgov.com/media and Facebook.com/CityOfVaBeach for people who are unable to attend in person. 10 On Your Side also will provide a live stream of the meeting on WAVY.com.
Virginia Beach city officials say they plan to discuss traffic, parking, safety, access for residents, employees and other guests, the Human Rights Commission Observer Program and more during the community meeting.
Last year, the Virginia Beach city officials hosted multiple information sessions for citizens regarding College Beach Weekend during the month of April. They also sent out mailers to residents and businesses in the area.
The City says they’ll be sending out informational mailers to residents and businesses with a 23451 zipcode again this year.
