PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police said officers found two women shot to death inside of an apartment in the Manassas area Tuesday morning.
The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said the officers found the women at Westgate Apartments and Townhomes, located in the 8100 block of Porters Ridge Ln., around 5:10 a.m. Police were there for a welfare check.
PWCPD said a “person of interest” was detained in Shenandoah County. Investigators said they believe the women and the person who was detained knew each other.
As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, no charges had been filed.
Detectives were working to determine what led up to the shooting.
