ARLINGTON, Va. (WAVY) — Arlington Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed a man from Hampton near the Pentagon on Friday.
Officials say at 7:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to Washington Boulevard near the ramp to Pentagon-South Parking for an accident involving a motorcycle.
Police learned that the motorcyclist was traveling on Washington Boulevard when the driver of a van changed lanes to exit the highway which caused both vehicles to collide.
The motorcyclist, 54-year-old Luis Martinez, of Hampton was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries the next morning. The driver of the van remained on scene.
No word on if any charges will be filed. The accident is still under investigation.
