Three Virginia athletes win gold with USA Swimming Olympic Team at 2024 Paris Olympics

PARIS, FRANCE (WRIC) — Three USA Swimming Olympic Team athletes with ties to Virginia have won gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with the team setting a world record on Saturday.
USA Swimming Olympic Team members Ryan Murphy, Nic Fink, Gretchen Walsh and Torri Huske swam in the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay and finished in first place, earning the team gold medals.
The team also broke the event’s world record on Saturday with a finishing time of 3:37.43.
On Friday, Aug. 2, Swanson earned gold with the USA Swimming Olympic Team in the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay Heats race, where the team finished in first place in heat two with a final time of 3:40.98.
