BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A woman is dead after a crash in Brunswick County.
Just before 11 a.m. Monday, troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on I-85.
The driver, James Ellis Price III, was traveling southbound when fell asleep, ran off the road and hit a tree.
His passenger and mother, Shirley Anne Price, 81, of Danville, Virginia later died from her injuries.
James Ellis Price III has been charged with reckless driving.
