Tides tie franchise record with 11-run sixth, rout Gwinnett 21-2

NORFOLK (WAVY) – The Norfolk Tides swam past the Gwinnett Stripers Saturday by a dominant score of 21-2, setting their Orioles affiliate franchise record with 21 runs, and a franchise record for most runs in an inning with 11 in the 5th.

Second baseman Connor Norby led the way with four RBI off three hits and scored three runs. Catcher Maverick Handley led the way in hits with four and had three RBI. The Tides combined for a total of 18 RBI on 19 hits.

They followed that up with a 4-3 win Sunday for their fourth win in a row and seventh in eight games to start the season.
