Kareem Stagg, former Oscar Smith basketball standout, commits to Georgia

Bradenton, FL (WAVY) – Kareem Stagg has committed to play college basketball at the University of Georgia. The Chesapeake native played his first two seasons at Oscar Smith high school before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida last season. As a standout sophomore in 2022, he helped lead the Tigers to a state semifinal appearance.

Stagg, listed at 6’8″, is considered at top 75 recruit in the class of 2025, according to ESPN.

He chose the Bulldogs over Michigan, Houston and Oklahoma State.
