HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — The high school region playoffs tipped off Friday night with action getting underway all over Hampton Roads.
The Sportswrap cameras made it out to three games on Friday.
On the boys side in region 6A, Oscar Smith defeated Grassfield 57-41 to move on to the next round.
Jacobi Harper led the Tigers with 16 points.
In Region 3A, the Booker T. Washington boys defeated Norcom 53-48, moving the Bookers on to the next round.
And girls action, in region 5A, Kellam defeated Kempsville 75-36.
More region action continues on Saturday and the playoffs will continue for the next several weeks until state champions are crowned next month in Richmond.
