HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Prepare to fire up your engines. It’s almost time to watch some of your favorite NASCAR drivers battle in the annual Spring Cup Series Toyota Owners 400 at Virginia’s Richmond Raceway.
“We are so excited to welcome fans from all over the 50 states and even a few countries,” said Lori Waran, Richmond Raceway President.
The racing schedule is as follows:
- Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 150: Friday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. ET
- Toyotacare 250: Saturday, March 30 at 1:30 p.m. ET
- Toyota Owners 400: Sunday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m. ET
The main event, of course, is the NASCAR Cup Series Toyota Owners 400 happening on Easter Sunday. It’s the seventh race of the 2024 season, and 36 drivers will be competing.
Keep your eyes peeled for Denny Hamlin, along with other favorites like William Byron, Christopher Bell, Kyle Busch, and last year’s winner, Kyle Larson, who’s looking to defend his title.
Speaking of competition, we might see some sparks fly between Christopher Bell and Kyle Busch, who got a little chippy on the Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend.
“I think we’re going to see a little bit of action between those two as well,” Waran said.
However, the excitement isn’t limited to the track. The Fan Zone opens on Friday, featuring delicious food and drink vendors, the NASCAR simulator experience, a rock climbing wall to test your skills and even a petting zoo for some post-race cuddles.
Tickets are still available to purchase on Richmond Raceway’s website and as well as additional information on parking, events and experiences.
