REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (KRON) — San Francisco 49ers fans across the Bay Area are getting ready for Sunday’s big game, including 90-year-old Martha Campana.

She’s been a fan since 1971. KRON4 sat down with her to talk about her predictions for the Super Bowl.

Campana has been building her San Francisco 49ers collection for more than half of her life.
While she’s had to downsize since moving into Brookdale Senior Living in Redwood City, she kept her favorites like this bear from her daughter.

“A long time. It went to every Super Bowl with me,” Campana said.

Campana attended all five of the 49ers’ Super Bowl victories (1982, 1985, 1989, 1990 and 1995).

KRON: “Since you haven’t went, they’ve lost?”
Campana: “That’s right.”
KRON: “You’re not concerned that trend is going to continue?”
Campana: “No, no, it’s gotta break.”

Campana is a superfan. She was a season ticket holder for the team’s entire tenure at Candlestick Park from 1971 until the 2013 season. In that time, she only missed five games.

“My son and my husbands were the ones that were the fans then I said I want to be with them,” she said. “Then it ended up that I was more of a fan than my husband was, I think.”

She says she feels this year’s team is similar to the ones that won in the 1980s.

“When Joe Montana was their quarterback, they were a family,” Campana said. “You can ask any of the guys, they were a family and I have that same feeling now.”

But she is also hoping the Niners can possibly get some help from one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ superfans.

“I’m hoping that Taylor Swift is going to distract (Chiefs tight end Travis) Kelce so that he won’t be catching all those balls,” Campana said.

She says she’ll be right here watching every second of the game on Sunday.

KRON: “What would it mean if they were to win this one?”

Campana: “I would be so happy. I would be very, very happy.”
