INDIANAPOLIS — Four teams remain. Only two can advance.
The NFL Playoffs have reached Conference Championship Week. Once Sunday’s games are over, we’ll know the matchup for Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
WXIN’s Chris Hagan and Nexstar Nation have it all covered in this week’s “Big Game Bound.”
In the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens (13-4) host the Kansas City Chiefs (11-6). MVP candidate Lamar Jackson is seeking his first Super Bowl appearance. This is the first time the Ravens have ever hosted the AFC Championship Game.
The Kansas City Chiefs, meantime, are no stranger to big games. This marks the sixth straight year that Kansas City has advanced to the AFC Championship Game. The Chiefs are looking for their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday. The game airs on CBS.
In the NFC, the Detroit Lions (12-5) pay a visit to the San Francisco 49ers (12-5). This is just the second time Detroit has ever reached the NFC Championship Game; the franchise is seeking its first-ever Super Bowl appearance.
In their way stands a franchise used to the spotlight. The 49ers made it to the conference championship for the third straight year–and the fourth time in five years. San Francisco has made 19 appearances in the NFC Championship Game, the most of any team since 1970.
Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on FOX.
We’ll preview both games and get Jarrett Payton’s picks in this week’s show.
“Big Game Bound” streams Thursdays at 12 p.m. ET during the regular season and playoffs. It airs every day during Super Bowl week.
