KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – Travis Kelce is speaking out about the recent hate that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has been receiving from some angry NFL fans.

At a news conference on Friday, Kelce was asked about the backlash Swift has been receiving and how it’s impacting them.

“As long as we’re happy, we can’t listen to anything that’s outside noise,” Kelce said. “That’s all that matters.“

The lack of love for Swift has been an ongoing discussion this season ever since she began attending Kelce’s games back in September.

Some “dads, Brads, and Chads” have not been happy with the amount of camera time Swift gets from the NFL broadcasts when she’s supporting the Chiefs.

Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, mentioned the recent hate at the Bills game during their podcast, “New Heights” this week.

“The Bills, coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? 1,000%. 1,000%. Did they get a little extra? 1,000%,” Kelce said.

“I’m not going to say what was said, because that’s what they want. I’m not going to relay it, but some things were said about the family. Some pretty inappropriate things were said about Pat Mahomes. It was pretty whack.”

Back in December, Swift was named TIME’s 2023 Person of the Year. During her interview with the publication, she revealed that she has no clue when or how many times she is being shown during game broadcasts.

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” Swift told TIME.

“There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

She continued the interview, saying she is just at the game to support her boyfriend.

“I’m just there to support Travis, I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

It is not currently confirmed if Swift will attend this weekend’s AFC Championship game, but based on her recent track record it wouldn’t be a surprise if she’s there.
