LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Liberty Flames head football coach Jamey Chadwell spoke about his Flames playing their first game in more than 2 week as they host FIU Tuesday, October 8 at 7 pm. The Flames had a bye week and their game at Appalachian State was canceled due to Hurricane Helene. This game is part of Conference USA’s run of mid week games in October.
“Right now, because we haven’t played in forever, we’ll be ready for anything. We’ll play any time. Because we went through it (last year), there’s obviously some new guys that haven’t, but it’s way easier this year than it was. Last year, we went from a Thursday to Tuesday. At least this year, it’s a week or more in between. So, it’s like a normal deal,” said Chadwell.
