(WFXR) — Virginia Tech athletics announced former women’s basketball legend Liz Kitley’s jersey will be retired in 2025. “Liz Kitley Night” will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Cassell Coliseum. The Hokies will take on Louisville at 4 pm. Athletic Director Whit Babcock says Kitley’s passion work ethic.. and character left an enduring legacy.. inspiring the next generation. She was instrumental in helping the Hokies go to their first-ever “Final Four.”
